Welcome Back!
As part of our goal to integrate the arts in meaningful ways across the curriculum, our school partners with professional institutions, such as the Chamber Music of Lincoln Center. Through a special three-year program with the Chamber Music of Lincoln Center, our students in 3rd through 5th grade experience professional performances and learn first-hand from artists in the field. Most importantly, the program creates motivating experiences in literacy and mathematics by integrating music with other areas of the curriculum.
The lessons have become an integral part of our arts-infused academic curriculum. The program consists of three visits each year by a teaching artist followed by concert attendances. Two of the concerts are at Lincoln Center, with the last in the three-part series performed by Chamber Music of Lincoln Center artists at St Cassian School.
