Mass Celebration: Recognition of Sportsmanship and Leadership
Posted on 03/31/2025

During a beautiful Mass celebrated on March 31st, Fr. Steve took a moment to acknowledge the dedication and achievements of all the athletes participating in St. Cassian School’s vibrant sports program. The program, which includes Track and Field, Cross Country, Volleyball, and Basketball, plays a vital role in helping students develop athletic skills, confidence, and self-esteem, while instilling the values of Christian leadership by fostering the practice of prayer, respect, service and community.

Fr. Steve, along with Principal Maria Llanes and Athletic Director Catherine Grube, honored four outstanding eighth-grade athletes—Sophia Cohen, Morgan Angelillo, Eden Solorzano, and Simon Streit—for their exceptional sportsmanship and leadership both on and off the field. Additionally, two dedicated coaches, Luis Solorzano and Michael Streit, were recognized for their years of admirable service, leading several teams with skill and unwavering commitment.
