Celebrating Arts-Integrated Learning through Ballroom Dancing.
As part of our arts-integrated approach to instruction, our fifth graders participated in twenty fun-filled sessions where they learned ballroom dances including the tango, foxtrot, waltz, merengue, and rumba. Beyond the beauty and discipline of dance, this program also fostered essential social-emotional skills such as effective communication, teamwork, respect, kindness, and courtesy. Academic connections were seamlessly woven throughout, reinforcing concepts in literacy, mathematics, and social studies.
We are incredibly proud of our fifth graders for their outstanding performance at the culminating event.
